About
After graduating from Middlesex University in the early 90’s Alex opened a studio / gallery shop on the Southbank, London, before moving to Portugal 25 years ago . Since then She has continued to travel between the two locations, working, teaching and exhibiting
Alex is a 3D multimedia artist whose work is emotionally charged and deeply human.
Through ceramic sculpture and photography, she explores themes of identity, displacement and resilience , drawing inspiration from her travels , teaching and community-based projects.
Her practice is rooted in storytelling, giving voice to those too often unheard.
Her present work is comprised of sculptural pieces that honour the lives of those who remain unnamed and unseen.
With each form, she invites us to confront the individual struggles behind collective tragedies.
Her work serves as both a tribute and a call for empathy, challenging us to see, to feel and to remember.
